An orthodontic treatment is divided into the following stages:
1. First consultation, information
The first visit is very informal. After the inspection of the position of teeth and jaws we inform you about what is right and what is wrong with your teeth and jaws, to help to decide if an orthodontic treatment is necessary. We demonstrate you the appliances that would be good for your individual dental situation and give you an idea about duration and costs of your orthodontic treatment.
2. Diagnostics
In order to plan your individual treatment we need to take some orthodontic diagnostics
3. Explanation of treatment plan
Before we start the active treatment, we explain the treatment plan to you.
4. The active treatment
During the active treatment, the progress has to be checked every 4 - 6 weeks, when the appliance will be activated or modified.
5. End of the active treatment, retention-time
Following the successful correction of the irregular positioned teeth and jaws, all pieces of the fixed appliance are removed and the teeth are thoroughly cleaned and polished
